According to a new study during the Covid 19 period (March 2020-September 2020), there was a 20% increase in alcohol sales compared to the same time period in 2019 in the United States. The study showed that the increase was in-home consumption which makes sense in the pandemic but there was also an increase in alcohol consumption and adverse health outcomes. If you have noticed that your own in-home alcohol consumption has increased or is causing relational problems it is a good time to take some steps toward decreasing your consumption and focusing on sobriety. Alcohol is the leading cause of aggressive behaviors in domestic cases. Even on a lesser scale, couples report more arguments, more emotional reactions, and regretful disagreements. Alcohol should not be running your life, your relationships, or your reactions. Take action to stop your own self-harm and increase your health.
