It really doesn’t matter what you expected from life, what matters is what life expected from you. Viktor Frankl (Austrian Psychiatrist)
Sometimes in life we can start to feel that life owes us something. But have you considered that it is actually YOU that owes life something? Life brings all sorts of suffering and asks you to transition into new aspects of yourself all the time. It is in the rising to this call that we can find meaning in life. Life is way bigger than any individual. It starts and ends without our permission. What is it expecting from you?
You will find that life brings a variety of situations into your life where you may feel trapped, confused, disappointed, misunderstood, alone, mistreated, etc. It is in those situations that you can ask yourself, what is life expecting from me? Your last, most valuable human right is your ability to choose how you will react in any situation.
When transitioning into someone new, identify the limiting beliefs that have been holding you firmly into the person you were before. Those beliefs may be part of what is holding you back from giving all that’s expected of you. Find meaning in your suffering and take the responsibility to transition into something new!
