Therapeutic Walk & Talk
Walking through a therapy session can help you to relax and open up. In fact, the link between exercise and mood is strong and usually within five minutes after moderate exercise you get a mood-enhancement effect. Studies continue to show the improving effect of exercise on depression. There is also research showing that exercise can be a tool for treating anxiety by teaching you new ways to control your breath and associated heart rate with feelings of safety. Exercise and counseling can help the brain buffer its stress responders. So put your walking shoes on and let’s go for a therapeutic walk together.
