It’s time to jump into a new year! That’s either inspirational, or it makes you want to take a nap. :)
What’s your energy like as you start 2020?
I have found that the older I get, the more important taking care of my emotional wellbeing has become. Learning to listen to myself, identify what I am doing to add to my suffering, naming it, and then changing it becomes a full time job. It keeps me uncomfortable and growing all at the same time. I find that when I am intentional about staying on top of my emotional health, all the curveballs life throws at me are a little more bearable. I am able to move through the discomfort more easily.
This new year will bring more life transitions. I am always amazed at how many transitions a year can bring! Even if you know it’s good for you, it’s difficult. It can be even harder when it is a painful transition. I personally can get caught up in fantasizing about the good parts of the past. This can become distracting while trying to maneuver through a big change. I struggle with letting go more than starting something new. What about you? What holds you back?
Change is necessary to move us into something different, a new side of our personality, a new attitude and eventually a new you. But it is hard to let go of the parts that made us comfortable. Every big change will ask you to let go to create something new.
I am learning to lean into the change life keeps presenting me and to drop my limiting beliefs like, “I don’t like change” or “I just can’t change easily”. So far life doesn’t care about my opinion on change or transitioning into something new.
This new year will bring some new and exciting things for Mind Helm as we create different ways to meet the needs of our clients who desire more out of their life.
