What do you do when you’re stressed? ⁣

Most people have their own set of tools to address stress in their life, if you don’t, it might be time to fill your tool box. ⁣

I have been feeling stressed lately and I knew I needed to do something about it. I am a true extrovert and I realized that some of my stress was coming from not giving myself the space and time to be with friends and connect with my husband.⁣

So the last week I filled my calendar with friend dates and a husband date! I went to dinner, took walks, met for lunch, laughed a lot, and fed my empty connection bucket. 🙂 It has been so refreshing for me and has lowered my stress! ⁣

Make sure you check in with yourself so you know what you need. So many times we ignore our feelings. If you haven’t checked in with yourself lately, ask yourself what it is you’re needing. Maybe you need a little attention, maybe you need alone time, maybe you need to call your mom, or maybe you just need a hug. Whatever it is you might be surprised at how easy it is to get what you need. But it’s your responsibility to ask for what you need and not expect others to automatically know. It’s part of caring for yourself like you’re worthy of love. And to be honest it works better than expecting others to read your mind! 🙂 ⁣
